Your meeting context, wherever you work

Introducing the Supernormal MCP

What is an MCP?

MCP or Model Context Protocol is an open-source standard that allows AI models to securely connect to external tools, databases, and data sources. Instead of specialized integrations, MCP acts as a universal bridge, allowing AI agents to read files, fetch data, and interact with software

With Supernormal's MCP, connect your meetings and projects to Claude, Cursor, and any other AI tool that supports Model Context Protocol — in one command.

Your meeting context, wherever you work

Supernormal already does a lot. It captures your meetings, writes your notes, and organizes everything into projects. But your work doesn't happen in Supernormal alone.

You're in Claude drafting a follow-up proposal. You're in Cursor building out a feature spec. You're in your AI tool of choice writing a brief, a ticket, a recap — and somewhere in the back of your mind, you know you talked about this exact thing two days ago.

Until now, that meant stopping what you were doing, opening Supernormal, digging for the meeting, finding the right moment, and copying it over. It works, but it costs you focus.

With the Supernormal MCP, your meetings and projects come with you. Whatever AI tool you're working in, it can pull from your conversations directly — no switching, no pasting, no losing your place.

What you can do

Search and retrieve meetings. Ask your AI tool to find last week's product sync, pull up yesterday's standup notes, or surface everything discussed about a specific topic. Full-text search across your recordings, transcripts, and notes.

Work with projects. List your projects, pull details from a specific one, or create and update projects without leaving your workflow. Organize meetings into projects on the fly.

Add context to projects. Link meetings, files, captures, and recordings to any project — so the right context is always where you need it.

In practice, that looks like:

  • "Find everything we discussed about the Q3 roadmap and draft a summary."

  • "Pull up the notes from Tuesday's client call and write a follow-up email."

  • "Create a project for the rebrand and add all our discovery meetings to it."

  • "What action items came out of this morning's standup?"

How it works

Think of it as a universal adapter — one integration that works across Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, and any other MCP-compatible client.

Once connected, the AI tool you're using can access your Supernormal data when you ask it to. It reads your meetings and projects in real time, so the context it pulls is always current.

Getting started

If you're using Claude Code:

claude mcp add supernormal --transport http https://api.supernormal.com/mcp

If you’re using Claude on the web:

  1. click the plus button → add custom connector

  2. name → Supernormal

  3. remote server url → https://api.supernormal.com/mcp

If you’re using codex:

codex mcp add supernormal --url https://api.supernormal.com/ncp

Your Supernormal meetings and projects are now available as context in any Claude Code session.

Within Claude, only Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans can add custom connectors. On Team and Enterprise plans, only an Owner or Primary Owner can add a custom connector to the organization.

If you're using ChatGPT:

  1. Go to Settings → Advanced and enable Developer Mode

  2. Open the Connectors tab in Settings

  3. Click Add connector, give it the name "Supernormal", and enter the server URL:

https://api.supernormal.com/mcp
  1. Authenticate with your Supernormal account

  2. In any chat, click Add sources and toggle Supernormal on

If you're using Claude, Cursor, or another MCP client:

Connect manually using the MCP server URL:

https://api.supernormal.com/mcp

Look for the MCP or Connectors section in your client's settings, paste the URL, and authenticate with your Supernormal account.

What's next

This is the first version. Right now you can search and retrieve meetings, manage projects, and link sources — the building blocks for bringing meeting context into your work.

We're continuing to build. More capabilities, deeper integrations, and better ways to surface the right context at the right moment. We'll keep shipping.

In the meantime, try it and let us know what you build.

Supernormal MCP is currently generally available to test, but please note that availability per plan and features may change in future.
