Why isn't the Supernormal app detecting my meetings?

If the Supernormal app isn't automatically detecting your meetings, this is typically due to browser compatibility or system permissions.

Check browser compatibility

Automatic meeting detection is currently supported in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. If you're using a different browser (e.g., Dia), you'll need to use manually capture your meetings.

Check Supernormal Settings

Click the Supernormal logo on the top bar on your Mac (or tray on Windows)

Click the Settings wheel at the bottom of the Supernormal pop out

Click Preferences -> Ensure Capture Meetings Automatically is checked as shown below

Check system permissions

Mac:

If you're using a supported browser, the issue is likely related to system permissions:

  1. Open System Settings

  2. Navigate to Privacy & Security

  3. Select Automation

  4. Find the Supernormal app and ensure all toggles are enabled

Windows:

  1. Select Start , then select Settings > Privacy & security.

  2. Select the capability you want to allow apps to use, such as Calendar or Contacts.

  3. Turn the setting on or off that allows anyone using the device to have access to the capability.

  4. Choose which apps can access the capability by turning individual apps and services on or off.

Still not working? If you've tried the steps above and you're still not seeing automatic detection, don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]

In the meantime, you can always use manually capture your meetings by clicking New Capture after clicking the Supernormal logo or Take meeting notes in the right corner of app.supernormal.com
