Capturing conversations via Supernormal Web on your mobile device

Out to 50% of our users (and soon 100%), you can now capture in-person conversations right from your mobile device!

We do not yet support mobile phone / virtual meeting conversation capture. We only support capture of in person conversations and personal voice capture.

We've made it so you can now capture conversations right from your mobile device.

  • Head to app.supernormal.com and login with the same email you do with your Supernormal account

  • Click Take meeting notes in the right corner once you are ready to start capturing your conversation

  • Click Start Recording

  • Click Allow to give access to your microphone (note, you will give access each capture).

  • Depending on your browser and settings, there may be additional permissions you will be asked such as the below on Chrome.

  • Once you've enabled access to permissions, you will see the timer begin, and when working properly, the transcription based on what we are picking up through microphone as displayed below "Testing testing" as spoken will be shown as captions

  • Once you click the Stop button at the end of the conversation, you will see meeting notes generated and displayed as usual with "Recording at time" in the meeting title which can be edited or changed post meeting.

πŸ’‘ Staff Note

  • The recorder continues to work even if your phone locks. You can unlock your phone and note that we are still capturing on app.supernormal.com

  • All transcription will show one speaker, as all speakers are being captured by the same microphone on your device. We do not yet break out by speaker

If you attempt to capture virtual conversations or phone conversations, you will receive the following error post capture as we do not yet support this type of capture. We only capture conversations captured by your phone's microphone.
