1. Scheduled meetings

If you've connected your calendar, Supernormal knows about your upcoming meetings ahead of time. When a scheduled meeting is about to start, Supernormal will send you a notification to join and capture your it.

Not getting any notifications for meetings on your calendar? Here’s how you can troubleshoot your calendar connection.

2. Meeting detection

When you join a meeting, Supernormal listens for audio activity on your device and automatically detects that a meeting is in progress. A notification will appear letting you know your meeting has been detected and is being captured. Supernormal works across most platforms, even ones not on your calendar, like Slack huddles, Discord, or WhatsApp.

Not getting any ‘Meeting detected’ notifications? Here’s how you can troubleshoot.

3. New Capture

You can start capturing at any time by clicking on the Supernormal logo in your menu bar to open the Desktop menu any time. Start capturing with New Note.

This is ideal for impromptu calls, one-on-one conversations, brainstorming sessions, or any meeting that isn't on your calendar.

Staff Tip💡

  • All three methods produce the same output: a full meeting note with a transcript, summary, and action items

  • Access your notes anytime from app.supernormal.com/meetings

By understanding these three capture methods, you'll always stay prepared, whether your meetings are planned, ad hoc, or somewhere in between.
