While a bot is not needed to transcribe Google Meet meetings, it is required to record video on Google Meet and to capture meetings on Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Supernormal uses bots to produce the best quality transcriptions, notes and video recordings. We are unable to do these things without a bot present on your call.

In addition, bots help add a layer of transparency when a call is being recorded. While the onus is on the user to inform that a call is being recorded, certain states/countries have different call recording laws which we highly recommend you check out.
